How do I merge video clips together into longer videos?
If you have a disparate community from which you need to source video clips, merging them together can be a challenge.
For example:
- Party guests wanting to upload video clips of the event
- Remote teams wanting to combine video clips for corporate videos
- Virtual events wanting delegate input videos
- Instant reaction videos from multiple places or perspectives
The main ways you can do this is to set up a cloud drive and send the link to those invited , then download each video file, then re-upload to your video editing software, sequence them together and add captions.
Vloggi replaces this with a four-step process called PUMP.
- Plan – add a small filming brief and set up and upload link
- Upload – anyone with the link can upload footage in any orientation and resolution
- Merge – Drag the clips you like onto the sidebar box to add the clips to a video story.
- Publish – Give your finished story a title, press publish to finalise the video.
Then download the finished MP4 file for use on YouTube, Facebook or Instagram
